In individual cases, it is possible to interrupt the Study Program for Seniors and resume it at a later point in time (break semester). However, when deciding to take a semester off, you should bear in mind that you will not be able to acquire any credits during this time. You will then have to make up for these in the following semesters.

Please, always coordinate a break semester with the (Deputy) Head of the study program beforehand, as a leave of absence is associated with a significantly increased administrative effort.

You will receive an unsolicited letter from the ZHB after the end of the break semester and can then re-register with payment of the semester fee.
