Program Structure

The Study Program for Seniors is a "Certificate Program" offered by TU Dortmund University. The certification of the successful completion of the study program requires:

- a total of 25 certificates of attendance of different courses in six modules,

- an internship together with an internship report,

- and a final paper.

Modules

The Study Program for Seniors at TU Dortmund University has a total of six modules:

  • Module 1: Colloquium
  • Module 2: Skills for civic engagement
  • Module 3: Subject-specific studies
  • Module 4: Elective Courses
  • Module 5: Internship
  • Module 6: Final paper

 The main focus of the program lies on the following subjects:

  • Social gerontology
  • Sociology
  • Education
  • Psychology
  • Philosophy
  • Protestant and Catholic Theology
  • Rehabilitation Science 

The courses that can be taken as part of the program are published in the "Catalog of Selected Courses" before the start of each semester.
